March 25- April 7 (Sorry for the glare!) This was a pretty regular couple of weeks for us except for a few things. We had a small Easter celebration and the second weekend we flew to Florida to visit my grandparents. I’ll be making an insert for that trip and will post that next week. A few highlights from weeks 13 & 14: Easter Sunday// making homemade pizza// Pat’s GRE book came// I started a new crochet project// waiting for the weather to warm up// cupcakes on an awesome day// Chicken Gyros- favorite weeknight dinner// What I like about this layout: I love that this layout has just a little hint of spring. It reflects the season perfectly. Time for spring but still so cold. Fun techniques used: More of the same techniques: filling white space on photos with journaling, adding letter stickers to photos, using Ali Edwards digital brushes, adding art embellished filler cards, and using lots of labels. I like the repetition that comes from using the same techniques each week and I think I’m starting to find my style. One new technique this week was using white embossing powder on kraft paper. Love that look!Favorite Photo: The Tuesday night dinner picture of Chicken Gyros. This is one of my favorite food photos. So happy with how it came out. Favorite Art Embellishment: The Easter Dinner card. I like this card because it adds fun journaling to an embellished filler card. Stamps used: Smash Date stamp, Honeycomb Flower stamp, Love This stamp, Letter Stamps (from Michaels)
Supplies Used: Cobalt core kit, design A page protectors, Corner Punch, Snap Labels, Cobalt patterned paper, Ali Edwards digital brushes, Avery labels. From Michaels: Glitter letters(recollection), word bubble wood chips, blue dot patterned paper.
