Today I am introducing a new series! In 2014 I will be posting 26 pizza, taco and sandwich recipes. These are some of our favorite foods and we love to play around with different topping combinations. We make pizza almost once a week and have tacos and sandwiches pretty often as well. First up is a pizza recipe. Lets get started!
01 Pesto & Artichoke Pizza
dough: our favorite pizza dough (from this cookbook)
sauce: homemade pesto (this is a good recipe if you don’t have one)
cheese: mozzarella and parmesan
toppings: 1 can artichokes, 2 roma tomatoes, 2 strips bacon, and 1 onion caramelized
special instructions: I marinated the artichokes and tomatoes with a little lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper before putting them on the pizza.
We bake our pizzas on a pizza stone at 415 degrees for about 20 minutes.
