Watercolors have been on my list of things to try for a long time. I so was inspired by this project and finally decided to pick up a set and try it out.

This week I continued the orange and teal color scheme from week 1. Most of my pictures were taken on the weekend. I need to work on taking more pictures throughout the week.
I kept this week really simple! My goal for 2014 is to only spend 1 hour each week on project life. This week I ordered pictures Sunday afternoon, picked them up Monday morning, and finished the layout Monday afternoon. This worked out really well and I’m going to try to keep it up, so I don’t get behind this year. Continue reading
This year I will be using the Jade edition core kit. Continue reading
This year I am starting a Christmas through the years album. It will be similar to the December Daily approach except that i’m not planning on taking a photo a day. Instead, I’m focusing on how we celebrate the season and telling the bigger stories in more detail. I don’t want to stress myself out by setting an expectation to document a photo/ story a day.
I am using a big 12 x 12 album and hope I can fit at least five years of Christmas documentation in this album. I will be using a variety of Project Life page protectors and inserts. Continue reading
I finished my May One Little Word project! The project for May was to LISTEN to what we were hearing over and over, then document it in a creative way. For me, this meant to pick out sayings that were inspiring and meaningful. I searched on Pinterest for quotes I liked. Continue reading
April 22- May 05 This was a pretty normal couple weeks for us. I went with a pink color scheme for this layout and I love how it turned out. I really tried to keep things simple. I like a nice balance between creative embellishments and still letting the photos be the focus. This is getting easier to each week. I think its because I’ve had 6 months to practice.
A few highlights from weeks 17 & 18: We made baked goat cheese // May Goals // celebrating just because // virtual walk competition at work // bike ride // homemade granola // DIY calendar // Right side of the layout. Left side of layout
I looked at Michaels for some graduation themed paper but couldn’t find any. So instead, I made my own by typing up various graduation themed words and phrases in different fonts. I printed that out on white card stock. Continue reading
The April project for one little word is one of my favorites so far! It came together super fast and I had so much fun working on it. I used many of my favorite photos from this year. I love how this project combines words and photos. We had to pick out nine photos that relate (in some way) to our one little words and add a caption to go with each photo. I downloaded a new free font for this project called bebas neue. I’m obsessed with it! I kept the text color super simple by just alternating between black and white.
So happy with how this turned out! Continue reading
